Spectrum Digital Window Display Rollout
How Spectrum partnered with Reality Interactive to deploy, configure, and support bitSHUTTLE® media players powering digital window displays across a nationwide retail network—with standardized hardware prep, coordinated field installation, and centralized CMS control.
The challenge
Spectrum set out to bring dynamic digital content to one of the most visible parts of its retail environment: storefront windows. With stores spread across the country and a tight rollout schedule, every media player had to arrive configured, connect to store networks, and be validated before an installation counted as complete.
Coordinating that at national scale meant managing demanding schedules, sourcing qualified technicians in every market, keeping installation quality consistent, and resolving location-specific issues without derailing the broader program.
The solution
Reality developed a deployment model built on standardized hardware preparation, centralized technology, and coordinated field operations. Media players were received, imaged, configured, and tested before shipment so technicians started from the same baseline in every store.
bitSHUTTLE® gave Spectrum centralized media player management, content synchronization for multi-screen locations, and online-status monitoring. Defined installation procedures, audit requirements, and escalation paths kept the rollout auditable from preparation through punchlist resolution.
Deployment
Reality Operatives coordinated the rollout end to end: hardware preparation and testing, nationwide technician scheduling, remote support during installs, multi-vendor logistics, and installation audits before sites were marked complete.
Outstanding items were tracked through a structured punchlist process until resolved—giving operations visibility into progress while field teams followed the same requirements at every location.
Integration
Window displays connect to Spectrum's retail store networks with standardized player configurations. bitSHUTTLE® manages players and digital content, including synchronized playback where larger stores run multiple window screens.
Centralized control lets Spectrum push network-wide content or tailor messaging by region, location, or individual screen as priorities evolve.
Outcome
Reality supported Spectrum's nationwide window display rollout with a repeatable process for preparation, installation validation, and issue resolution. Media players shipped ready for the field, installations were audited before completion, and bitSHUTTLE® monitoring provided ongoing visibility into player connectivity after go-live.
The program ties installation, technology management, and support into one retail technology workflow—designed to scale as more locations come online.
Ongoing support
After deployment, locations moved into Reality's support process. bitSHUTTLE® monitors whether each media player is online, giving the team a foundation for investigating connectivity issues across a geographically distributed network—without relying on store teams to report every offline player.
